Oak Spool Cabinet

Once a fixture of the ol’ time country store, spool cabinets were used to house the various colors, styles and plys of sewing thread, sold on wooden spools. They are increasingly sought after these days for use as jewelry boxes and/or storage for small collectibles. This example was fashioned from quarter sawn, white oak beams from an 1880’s barn which once stood near Edinburg, VA .Fitted with solid brass drawer handles. Finished with golden oak stain, varnish and tinted wax. $265
