Mission Style Clock Case
This simple, but not simplistic, Mission Style Clock Case is highly popular today. Originating in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the sleek lines of the articles produced contrasted with the highly ornate Victorian age, and were in turn inspired by Shaker styling of the 18th and early 19th centuries. Quarter sawn white oak was used almost exclusively because of its strength and the beauty of the "tiger flaked" grain.
